Soy Glazed Salmon Kabobs

"Soy sauce and fish are staples of many of the Pacific Islands where Asian influence has become infused into local cuisine. The abundance of shoreline provides ease to fresh fish as well. Here tasty glazed salmon kabobs, which go well with some sliced green onion, chopped ginger and fresh black pepper fryed in some butter and then mixed into a bed of cooked Basmati rice, my preference. I think this recipe was originally from the Highliner website."

Best Ever BBQ Chicken

"The BBQ sauce on this juicy grilled chicken is out-of-this world! We "wow" people with this recipe every summer during outdoor entertaining. I always double the sauce recipe to have extra on the side for dipping. The original recipe calls for 2 small boiler chickens quartered but we prefer using bone-in, skin on chicken breasts. Slow cooking on the grill gives it the best flavor. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do - it's a favorite at this house."

Grilled Fish on Skewers

"This recipe comes from a Moroccan cookbook that I once found in a bargain book shop. You can either use the grill on your oven or BBQ them. They are really tasty and served with green salad they make a light meal. The coriander in this recipe refers to fresh leaves/cilantro, not the seeds. The preparation time includes time for marinating, otherwise it would only be about 15 minutes."

Grilled Chicken Wings

"The marinade is simply wonderful and so easy. If you bite into one of these hot off the grill the rest may not make it into the house! Make extras because the kids will eat them cold the next day. I marinated the wings for 6 hours to overnight. I also use 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger finely grated instead of ground ginger."

Cuban Spiced Pork Chops

"This is the perfect recipe for those who love the flavors of a classic Cuban pork roast but are cooking in small quantities. Typical of Cuban fare, these are full of tropical flavors but not spicy. The garlic and lime pair beautifully in a fragrant marinade. Though you can marinade as briefly as an hour, for best results let the pork soak up to 6-8 hours. (Don't marinade overnight as the citrus cooks the pork over longer periods). Serve these with my Almost Fried Plantains #134349 for a delightful healthy meal."

Grilled Turkey Burgers Wtih Monterey Jack, Poblano Pickle Relish

"This recipe is from Grilling for Life cookbook by Bobby Flay. Turkey burgers have become the alternative to hamburgers. Ground turkey is a great choice because of its low fat content, but that often means the burgers are dry and bland. Not these! The slightly spicy pickle relish and the cooling avocado mayonnaise infuse the burgers with flavor through and through."

Bun Ga Nuong (Grilled Chicken and Vermicelli Salad)

"This recipe comes from Chef Viet Tran of New York City's and Philadelphia's Le Colonial Restaurants. I posted this in response to a recipe request. I have neither tasted or made this. (Prep time will depend on how long you marinate. Use your own judgement on how much you shrimp you want with this)."

Pan Grilled Pork Chops

"These chops are so easy and very tender. It's based on a recipe in the Mama Dip's Kitchen cookbook. Be sure to follow the important steps of letting the chops rest with the salt and seasoning before cooking, then browning the sides slowly, followed by a covered "rest". Mama Dip is a traditional Southern U.S. cook, chef, restauranteur and cookbook author."
