This recipe came out of a local newspaper column 'Hometown Recipes' & had been submitted by Frankie Roland of Coffeyville KS. Since I'm always looking for quick & easy when it comes to salmon filets.
"Salmon needs to marinate overnight, so prepare the day before."
"This is out of a 2000 Cookbook called "Simple & Classic Homecooking". It is noted in the cookbook that this recipe received their highest rating. You can serve it on a bed of couscous alongside mixed salad greens and some fresh fruit for dessert.DH rated it pretty darn good."
"This is a really good salmon recipe from Woman's World magazine. Full of all wonderful Mediterranean ingredients."
"One of my friends deemed this "Baklava Salmon" and the name stuck. The salmon & mustard go well with the honey, butter, and walnuts. We usually serve this with rice and steamed carrots or broccoli."
"Creative and filling, this salmon dish is an epic dinnertime treat."
"This came about because I had some extra cooked salmon fillets to use from the previous night. You could certainly add your own choice of veggies to this (carrot, corn, whatever) and change the cheese. I thought it turned out surprisingly good considering I was winging it. Hope you like it. (I have amended the cooking time based on reviews.)"
"All of the best ingredients of baklava meet salmon for an epic one dish dinner."
"Living on the west coast, we have eaten a great deal of salmon. This is ABSOLUTELY the best way we have found to cook it. It is so moist and the flavor is fantastic! Many reviewers have said that they think the cheese, especially the cheddar is unnecessary, and I have to admit that I omit the cheddar cheese myself. The flavour is a little too strong and it is extra fat that is not needed. I do like the sprinkling of parmesan with the paprika because it looks so nice when it is broiled.
"Salmon patties are quick and easy. I got this recipe from my son's babysitter many years ago. My son is now 20 and we still eat these at least a few times a month. These are very moist when done."
"Salmon is my number one favorite "meat" so I'm always looking for a variety of ways to cook it. Here is another of several ways I like to prepare it. (I only make this with REAL maple syrup, so can't vouch for the results if you substitute.)"
"This is a quick and easy dinner. Pop the packets into the oven while you set the table and in 15-minutes you have a nutritious dish with virtually no clean up. Serve this with a rice or couscous dish and extra lemon on the side. This recipe was found at another web site."
"I saw this on Sara's Secrets and couldn't wait to try it! The sauce brings out the sweetness in the fish. Enjoy!"
"Don't recall where this recipe came from years ago, but it is one of the few salmon recipes that I really like. Note that 1.75 cups of cold baked salmon can be substituted for the canned salmon. If the final product seems too dry for your taste, additional red wine vinegar and olive oil can be added."
